Chamber Endownment Award Winners for 2010!

The Tent Gallery, of Holland Patent, is the winner of the first ever Endowment Award given out April 22 by the Trenton Chamber of Commerce. Owners Andy and Julia Roberts were presented a check in the amount of $500.00 during the chamber’s Business After Hours held at Unity Hall. Chamber President Debby Leiker made the presentation in front of about 40 attendees.
The Tent Gallery rents tents, tables and chairs for parties, weddings and any other event. Andy Roberts said they applied for the Endowment because they wanted the money to create a website to give them more visibility and make it easier for clients and potential clients to see the variety of products they have available for rent.

Chamber Update

The membership brochure was recently reformatted to be more user friendly. Listings are categorized rather than alphabetized as they have been in the past. Currently there are over 110 paid members of the organization with that number increasing constantly.

If any members would like a plaque to display in their business, they should contact President Leiker. Fifty plaques had been made and are currently being distributed. More plaques will be made in the future based on demand.

Members are reminded there are a number of committees and volunteers are needed on all of them. Please consider giving some of your time and talents to the area of interest to you. Options are VIC, Membership, Publicity, Website/Technology, Events including Business After Hours, Chamber Alliance, and New Ideas. The committees and the goal of each will soon be listed on the website.

Chamber meetings are 8:30am (coffee's ready at 8:15am) at the Trenton Municipal Building. All members and potential members are encouraged to attend.
